The beach is quiet, eerily so. All animals, all insect noise, all gusts of wind have come to a complete stop this morning. The only sound is that of the ocean, but even that seems muted. Everything is hushed and as the doors of the huts opens, the only sensation that rings utterly true today is this: One of your own is gone. And now, as the rules state, it is your job to discover their fate. Welcome to the investigation post! If your character decides to search an area, please post the name of the location in your header and wait for the mod replies. Anything to discover or not to will be indicated during the course of the thread. After the body is discovered, an announcement will be made and characters are free to spend the rest of the afternoons how they like. which means, towards the edge of the oasis, closer to the jungle path, they're going to see a bit of a disturbance in the bushes. it looks a little off? ]

[Bellamy is about to answer until he spots the bushes, at which point he stops, completely ignoring Katara.]

Over there. See it?

[rightfully]

[ Goodbye, trash person...

I mean. She glances up at him briefly, and then back to the bushes. A nod. ]

Yes. [ Without pausing, ] I can go see what it is.

[ There's an unspoken "you two, stay here". How well they take it is something else altogether. ]

[ yeah, she's just going to immediately follow lucina instead of staying. sorry. ]

[jettisons]

[Honestly same. Not sorry, Lucina!]

Lucina, with two equally dismembered ducklings in tow, leans toward the bush from a careful close distance in order to get a better look at whatever it is.

Is it a pony? ]

instead it is a coconut and the coconut is very much covered in blood.

was someone beaten to death with a coconut?

[That is... sure something. Bellamy actually looks unimpressed? What the fuck, Bellamy.]

So that's our murder weapon or it's fake.

[ okay well. katara sure can pick it up! and i mean, they can all inspect it if they want but it's definitely, definitely blood.

if they look reaaaaally close, they can see some blond strings of hair attached to it.

... and that's it! like, there's nothing else in the bushes or the oasis. ]
