INVESTIGATION

The beach is quiet, eerily so. All animals, all insect noise, all gusts of wind have come to a complete stop this morning. The only sound is that of the ocean, but even that seems muted. Everything is hushed and as the doors of the huts opens, the only sensation that rings utterly true today is this: One of your own is gone. And now, as the rules state, it is your job to discover their fate. Welcome to the investigation post! If your character decides to search an area, please post the name of the location in your header and wait for the mod replies. Anything to discover or not to will be indicated during the course of the thread. After the body is discovered, an announcement will be made and characters are free to spend the rest of the afternoons how they like. THE CHIEFS

[ To signal the beginning of the hunt, Hal and Pal will be standing on the edge of the beach, looking into the huts and jungle beyond. Between the two of them stands two long wooden spikes sticking out of the sand, pointed edge up but other than that, they don't give much indication of what they're requiring from people.

In front of them sits an empty wooden crate. Maybe you're supposed to fill it? ]

[ A bloodied coconut ends up in the box, placed in rather unceremoniously.

At some point - perhaps right after the coconut is dropped off, perhaps some minutes later - Lucina will happen to peer back in and see a blue wig, a yellow sundress, and a volleyball with what's ostensibly a painted on face. ... A grosteque face, more horrid than a skull's grin.

Then, she'll go a little pale and not say much else for the next little while.

What the fuck, Hal and/or Pal. ]

[ Approaching with his group with seashells. ]

[ Going to drop off the ones he picked up anyways in the crate. ]

Prussia and Newt are carrying Prussia's jacket a little awkwardly, because how the fuck else are you supposed to transport a body with its organs all over the place???

Anyway she'll gently lay the body in the box if there's room, next to the box otherwise. Because #yikes.]

[Unceremoniously dumping the weapons they found in Lelouch and Hayner's hut into the box, and highkey wishing the gun would fire right into either of the Chiefs's faces. Either way, he retreats after giving both of them a glare because fuck y'all.

... And also so he can keep an eye out for Mello. Everything is fine, probably.]

[The dress and the wig are placed in there first, probably, by the time Hiro, Kyouko and Neku show up. The volleyball's immediately chucked in there, too, but it's the glass with the eye that Hiro holds onto for a minute before carefully setting it down in the glass, liquid and all.

And there's a tiny glare at the Chiefs while he walks back and waits for the inevitable, staring at those pikes.]

[It's probably by accident that he heads this way, stumbling along a path and straight into the flower field, probably with Kyouko Kirigiri on his heels. He comes to a stop next to a patch of flowers and stares at the well, eyes narrowing to see if he notices anything immediate. Who else is coming along?]

[ kyouko is absolutely tagging along here, falling into step with hiro and keeping an eye out for Shenanigans. ]

Oasis!

[Bellamy's checking the oasis with Lucina, looking relatively methodically, face impassive. Hey, this place still blows!]

[ It absolutely blows. Lucina looks about as calm and composed as ever, but there's a slight urgency in the back of her eyes as she looks about.

Fortunately for everyone, she's knotted a sleeve of her dress around her sundered arm. ]

... There were two pikes. Did you notice?

Huts

[ jaffar is not super excited about looking for bodies, but he is... around the huts, by force of necessity, and he's definitely keeping an eye out for anything out-of-place. ]

[ Mera is here to help, but, well. She's going to respond to that comment pretty snappishly as they head into the jungle. ]

DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT

[ So, time for some creepy twin action.

Hal and Pal are going to move, completely in sync, to bend down and pull two heads out of the sand. They brush them off too, both in sync, share them with the crowd, in sync, and then jam them down on the pikes, in sync.

First, there's Mello's head, skull crushed and what's left of his throat looking pretty bruised up. He's covered in dirt, blood, and sand but his skull is too mangled to really have much in the way of expression.

Then, there's Lelouch, eye missing and the only thing really showing how it was removed is the lingering optic nerve hanging out of the socket that's cut clean. The rest of the face is covered in blood and he looks like he's smiling.

Mello and Lelouch Lamperouge are dead. ]

Haha, this one was fun.

If Keith looked pale before thanks to getting his ass wrecked on Wednesday, then he's... not doing much better now. This, too, is fine.]
